BMT ARGOSS and Infoplaza combine activities

BMT ARGOSS BV and Infoplaza BV will combine activities with immediate effect. The new weather company will strengthen its position in the Dutch weather market as well as the international offshore and marine industries.

BMT ARGOSS BV and Infoplaza BV, leading providers of global weather services, announced their decision to combine activities with immediate effect. The new weather company will strengthen its position in the Dutch weather market as well as the international offshore and marine industries.

This merger will combine two organisations with similar cultures and core values and will strengthen the weather proposition to both the offshore and marine industries. Clients can be assured that their needs will be met through new and innovative weather services combined with high quality information and data sources. In addition, this merger enables an expansion of new services compliant with a dynamic international business development strategy. Joint operations will be headquartered at the Infoplaza offices in Houten.

In the short term both companies will continue to operate under their own brands. In recent years BMT ARGOSS has established a significant share in the international offshore and marine industry, with a strong focus on producing high quality forecasts derived from knowledge and experience of high resolution modelling. Infoplaza has developed a high level of expertise in creating user friendly weather dashboards for many business industries, and in 2017 developed an innovative Offshore Weather Support (OWS) system. Personalised dashboards allow users to understand at a glance if the weather will exceed project limits and their introduction has been received with great enthusiasm by several leading companies across different industries.
